High-Strength Concrete for an Iconic Office Tower in the Heart of Tel Aviv
Azrieli Sarona is one of the most iconic and complex office towers ever built in Israel and, at the time of its completion, was considered among the tallest in the country. The tower rises to a height of 210 meters and comprises 61 office floors totaling 120,000 sq m, alongside three retail levels spanning 9,000 sq m.
The tower features a complex concrete structural frame designed to withstand exceptionally high static and dynamic loads, and its engineering required advanced foundation solutions due to its unusual height and the ground conditions typical of the dense urban environment in which it was built. Construction on site demanded strict control over concrete quality, continuity of pours, and close monitoring of potential cracking throughout the process.
Due to these unique requirements, Israbeton supplied the project with over 138,000 cu m of ISRA STRONG C70/85—its highest-strength concrete mix available on the market. Meeting the most stringent standards, this concrete was used for both the foundation works and the construction of the structural frame.
